Reviews and Ratings
The hotel's rooms were described as average, almost back-packerish, with some disappointing issues like the lack of a working kettle and charging in Solomon Dollars. However, the service was highlighted as friendly and helpful, despite some instances of slowness. The location, although good and close to town and banks, involved challenges in getting simple needs attended to. The dining experience was found to be very poor and in need of improvement. On the positive side, the hotel boasted a service-oriented staff and a fair price compared to similar hotels in the area.
Staying at this hotel was a mixed experience. The location is convenient and close to various amenities, but some aspects like the dining could use improvement. The rooms on the cable car stand out for their friendliness, but service can be hit or miss at times.
The hotel had average rooms with a back-packerish feel, a lovely cafe and pizza place on the top level, but unfortunately located over a noisy nightclub that disrupted sleep until early hours. The room had issues like no hot water, dripping taps, and a challenging set of stairs to access.
I had a fantastic stay at the hotel! The rooms were clean, comfortable, and located closer to all the shops, offering a better experience than other hotels I've stayed at. The view overlooking Honiara town and Iron bottom sound was breathtaking. The service was exceptional, with staff who are very nice, extremely flexible, and always eager to help, making my experience truly enjoyable. The location was convenient, being close to various attractions and with knowledgeable long-term guests willing to assist. However, dining options were limited, and the change in generator set timing was a slight inconvenience.
The hotel is located on the western side of town, with rooms facing the town side. While the hotel room had a small balcony and attached bathroom, it was disappointing to find out that the safe was not functioning and even had rubbish inside. The stay is charged in Solomon Dollars, and there was an attempt to charge for breakfast despite having a no breakfast booking. The hotel social area can get noisy in the evening due to locals living nearby.
